My Fitness Journey to Empowerment
Like many of you, I've been on a fitness journey that's had its ups and downs. I've discovered what truly motivates me, what I need to do to stay healthy and how to adapt my routine as life changes.
When I was just starting out, I discovered how much I loved the simplicity of running in the fresh air. But as real life kicked in - job demands, commutes and home life responsibilities - fitness took a back seat. That once speedy and strong version of myself became distant memory.
Then came those pivotal moments many of your might be familiar with.
The realisation that 'me time' had become a luxury. I rediscovered my passion for fitness by carving out time for myself and re-establishing a training routine.
Later, I found myself seeking more energy and strength to keep up with life's demands. I learned the importance of working smarter, to achieve all-round strength and vitality. I explored new ways to boost my fitness and maintain my enthusiasm for exercise, which included setting motivational challenges like a local 10k race and a half marathon.
Fast forward a bit, and I realised the need to give fitness some extra attention. Strength training became my partner in maintaining muscle and staying energised.
It's this personal experience that I brought to becoming a personal trainer and to starting up Concrete Fitness. I apply this wealth of real life understanding to every session.
